TALLIS OVER TIME

What's your favourite memory of Tallis? What would you like to take with you to the new school? What do you imagine the life of a Tallis student to be like in 50 years? Students attending the English workshops explored these questions using their imagination and written and oral communication skills.

Here's what one group of students wrote about their project:

"We decided to create an artwork which represents the old Thomas Tallis School. We wanted to convey the idea that although the building is uniform, grey and dull but that the people in it are diverse, colourful and fascinating. We wanted each face at the window to represent the variety of different faces at Tallis, showing how they feel about the old Tallis being knocked down. We wanted to make the point that although the new building is exciting, what makes Tallis is the people in it. Hopefully the new school will continue to be a great community, but we can make it even better because the new building will come alive as a representation of all that is good about Tallis and the people in it."
